As part of its commitment to empowering and advancing the Kingdom’s mining sector, ESNAD launched a corrective campaign in the southern region, covering the governorates of Najran, Jazan, Asir, and surrounding areas. The campaign involved the inspection and evaluation of 216 mining licenses, representing approximately 87% of all approved licenses in these regions.
The findings revealed that 61% of the licenses complied with the regulations set forth by the Industry and Mineral Resources Law. The evaluated licenses were distributed across the governorates, with 97 licenses in Asir, 80 in Jazan, and 39 in Najran.
Based on these results, ESNAD issued recommendations to enhance compliance with relevant laws and regulations, with the aim of maximizing the sector’s benefits and promoting sustainable practices within the mining industry.
